i was told the other night that cassettes were a dinosaur, almost antique like. i guess i have thought this before, but never really mulled it over. i think because we are buyers of vinyl and grew up with tapes, they don’t seem “gone” to me. anyways, as we get ready for the upcoming tour, we have been working on a tape to be done for those shows. since things are still in the works i won’t give much away as to what it’s content will be. we were lucky enough to have a wonderful space to record in and will hopefully continue to use it in the future. luke’s father was able to let us use the chapel at one of the churches in the town we group in. the sound was amazing and we were even able to play a bit of piano and the organ. needless to say, everything sounded huge. when we get back from the two weeks in march, we’ll hopefully work on new songs and head back there to record them if at all possible.
as for the march shows, everything is looking good to go. 3/14: lancaster, pa, 3/15: akron, oh, 3/16: chicago, il, 3/17: minneapolis, mn, 3/18: milwaukee, wi, 3/19: bloomington, in, 3/20: louisville, ky, 3/21: atlanta, ga, 3/22: melbourne, fl, 3/23 miami, fl, 3/24: gainesville, fl, 3/25: charlotte, nc, 3/26: richmond, va, 3/27: arlington, va, 3/28: nyc, ny
then we are home for a day and play a show in boston on 3/30 with young widows, my disco and howl. then we head to philly the following weekend to play with young widows, my disco and amateur party on 4/4…a pretty busy few weeks for us.
we’ll also be playing live on whrb, harvard radio…aka the record hospital on 4/24 with our good friends daniel striped tiger. we’re hoping to come up with something fun to play together, so we’ll see how that goes.
thanks for checking in, and we’ll update all of the shows as we get closer to leaving. you can also check out our myspace site for an up to date list of where the shows are and who is playing.
take care.
