you may have noticed that there are a bunch of holes were images used to be. there was a problem with the page and we lost all the images that were uploaded. after that happened i figured that was a good excuse for a big overhaul. keep your eyes here for regular posts and lots of new content.
i was told the other night that cassettes were a dinosaur, almost antique like. i guess i have thought this before, but never really mulled it over. i think because we are buyers of vinyl and grew up with tapes, they don’t seem “gone” to me. anyways, as we get ready for the upcoming tour, we have been working on a tape to be done for those shows. since things are still in the works i won’t give much away as to what it’s content will be. we were lucky enough to have a wonderful space to record in and will hopefully continue to use it in the future. luke’s father was able to let us use the chapel at one of the churches in the town we group in. the sound was amazing and we were even able to play a bit of piano and the organ. needless to say, everything sounded huge. when we get back from the two weeks in march, we’ll hopefully work on new songs and head back there to record them if at all possible.
as for the march shows, everything is looking good to go. 3/14: lancaster, pa, 3/15: akron, oh, 3/16: chicago, il, 3/17: minneapolis, mn, 3/18: milwaukee, wi, 3/19: bloomington, in, 3/20: louisville, ky, 3/21: atlanta, ga, 3/22: melbourne, fl, 3/23 miami, fl, 3/24: gainesville, fl, 3/25: charlotte, nc, 3/26: richmond, va, 3/27: arlington, va, 3/28: nyc, ny
then we are home for a day and play a show in boston on 3/30 with young widows, my disco and howl. then we head to philly the following weekend to play with young widows, my disco and amateur party on 4/4…a pretty busy few weeks for us.
we’ll also be playing live on whrb, harvard radio…aka the record hospital on 4/24 with our good friends daniel striped tiger. we’re hoping to come up with something fun to play together, so we’ll see how that goes.
thanks for checking in, and we’ll update all of the shows as we get closer to leaving. you can also check out our myspace site for an up to date list of where the shows are and who is playing.
take care.
…has many wonderful places to see beyond that large city known as the big apple. we were lucky enough to venture out to ithaca and syracuse this past weekend (as well as western massachusetts) to play some shows. so, we owe a big thank you to matt and matt, bubba and mel of ithaca underground, ryan of hanging like a hex, ampere, relics, swath, rejouissance, the rolemodels, mistletoe, gods and queens, patrons of sweet, might and all of the people who came out to the shows and helped us feel at home. without all of you, none of this would have been possible. no thanks to a certain burrito establishment that took over an hour to make 2 burritos and an enchilada….although they were pretty good. nevertheless, we had a great time and hope to visit all of these places soon. see you soon and take care.

take care and stay warm.
it’s been a long time since we have done any proper touring. actually, it’s been some time since we’ve played consistent shows. the past year has been busy for all of us. however, we are back. we’ve started to work on writing new stuff and booking shows…lots of them. we are heading out on a weekend excursion to western massachusetts and new york. we are also in the midst of setting up a tour for march 2009. we will be heading for two weeks through parts of the midwest and the east coast. there are so many places we want to go, but two weeks just doesn’t give us enough time to realistically get to all of them. hopefully we can set something up in the future to return to the west coast, the south and the midwest states that we are not able to get to. our current tour itinerary is:3/14: lancaster, pa, 3/15: akron, oh, 3/16: chicago, il, 3/17: minneapolis, mn, 3/18: milwaukee, wi, 3/19: bloomington, in, 3/20: louisville, ky, 3/21: atlanta, ga, 3/22: tampa, fl, 3/23: miami, fl, 3/24: st. augustine, fl, 3/25: charlotte, nc, 3/26: richmond, va, 3/27: washington, dc, 3/28: nyc, ny, some of these may change, but take a look at the show page listing and you can see what has been updated, as well as some contact info, addresses and who else is playing.thanks for all of your support and hopefully we’ll see some of you this march.take care, pete, brendan and luke
we’re coming back down to gainesville for halloween weekend!
check www.thefestfl.com for more info, as it comes!
so, time has been short lately…we’ve only played one show since europe and we need to play more this summer. keep your eyes peeled for stuff for us if you are in the northeast us.
on the record front…we’ve got some ideas that we are working on. some old material and some new….all in analog formats. expect to see some things before the end of the year.
thank you to everyone that has been ordering shirts and records. you’re helping us pay off some debt! we did just make our records available through itunes, emusic, napster, and a few others. i think right now you can only get fathers and sons, but the others are on their way. if you have a subscription to do unlimited streaming on these sites..stream one for us…..they actually pay us like 5-10 cents in royalties!! we sound so official!
as always, hit us up on email. we’re always looking to hear from you.
we just got these new t-shirts in…they are gold and silver ink on a black t-shirt. they look pretty sharp! they are also available on a green shirt with white and yellow ink
